Union Pacific – Norfolk Southern Railroad Merger

This deal marks one of the biggest shifts in U.S. transportation history. Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern are moving to merge in an all-stock transaction valued at around $85 billion, creating what would become America’s first true transcontinental railroad. The combined network would stretch across more than 50,000 route miles in 43 states, forming a coast-to-coast system unmatched in today’s freight market.

Shareholders overwhelmingly backed the proposal in November, with 99.5% voting in favor. The deal now goes to the Surface Transportation Board, which is expected to complete its review in early 2027. If approved, the companies project roughly $2.75 billion in annual synergies from network integration, operational efficiencies, and long-haul revenue gains.

DoorDash – Deliveroo Acquisition

DoorDash unveiled a £2.9 billion (≈ US$3.9 billion) deal to acquire UK-based Deliveroo, marking one of the most significant global expansions in its history. The acquisition brings nine new markets under the DoorDash umbrella and meaningfully extends its international scale.

Once combined, the platform will operate across more than 40 countries and serve around 50 million monthly active users. The transaction received European Commission approval in September 2025, paving the way for full integration across its global network.

UPS – Andlauer Healthcare Group

UPS agreed to acquire Canada-based Andlauer Healthcare Group (AHG) in an all-cash deal valued at C$55.00 per share, a 31.1% premium to its prior closing price. The $1.6 billion transaction significantly expands UPS Healthcare’s cold-chain and specialty logistics capabilities across North America, adding AHG’s established networks for temperature-controlled transportation, pharmaceutical distribution, and healthcare-focused warehousing.

The acquisition closed in Q4 2025, integrating AHG’s operations into UPS’s growing healthcare logistics platform.

CEVA Logistics – Borusan Lojistik

CEVA Logistics, a subsidiary of CMA CGM, has completed its $383 million acquisition of Turkey’s leading domestic logistics operator, solidifying its position as a dominant player in the country’s 3PL market. Through the deal, CEVA gains control of a network spanning 1.19 million square meters of warehouse space and the capacity to manage nearly 1 million domestic FTL transports each year. The acquisition significantly expands CEVA’s footprint in Turkey.

InPost – Yodel Parcel Delivery

InPost has acquired 95.5% of UK parcel carrier Yodel, elevating the Polish parcel-locker giant to the third-largest independent e-commerce logistics operator in the UK. The deal positions InPost with an estimated 8% share of the UK parcel market and the capacity to handle over 300 million parcels annually.

Post-acquisition, InPost now operates a network of 10,000 automated parcel machines (APMs) and more than 18,000 out-of-home (OOH) pickup points across the country, significantly strengthening its last-mile and out-of-home delivery footprint.

FedEx – RouteSmart Technologies

FedEx has acquired RouteSmart Technologies for US$113 million, further strengthening its global pickup and delivery optimization capabilities. RouteSmart, a 40-year-old route-optimization software provider, processes billions of addresses annually for newspaper distributors, postal and parcel carriers, public works agencies, utilities, and waste collection operators.

FedEx has long relied on RouteSmart’s technology to optimize routes across its Ground network, making this acquisition a natural extension of an already deeply embedded partnership.

Evri – DHL eCommerce UK

This transformational merger brings together DHL eCommerce UK and Evri, creating one of the UK’s largest and most integrated parcel delivery businesses. The combined operation will handle more than 1 billion parcels and 1 billion business letters each year, with DHL Group taking a significant minority stake in the new entity.

The deal positions Evri to offer a fully integrated suite of courier, premium van delivery, mail services, and international delivery—supported by DHL’s global network of 150,000+ access points. Together, the merged platform significantly boosts scale, service breadth, and cross-border capabilities across the UK and beyond.

Delhivery – Ecom Express

Delhivery has acquired a 99.4% controlling stake in rival Ecom Express for ₹1,407 crore (~$168 million), marking one of the most significant consolidation moves in India’s e-commerce logistics sector. The acquisition is expected to deliver strong incremental gross margins for Delhivery.

The deal substantially strengthens Delhivery’s scale and competitive position in India’s rapidly expanding Express Parcel and e-commerce logistics markets.

Apex Logistics – Andes Integración Logística

Singapore-based Apex Logistics announced acquisition of majority stake in Andes Integración Logística, significantly expanding its Latin American presence across seven new countries: Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Bolivia.

This deal strengthens Apex's fresh and cold-chain logistics capabilities, combining Apex's Asia-North America flight networks with Andes' local Latin American expertise. Andes will be rebranded as "Andes by Apex".
